Candidates to the Faculty Convent 2020-2021

Being a current member of the Faculty Convent, Fabian Becherer is candidating again for the period 2020-2021.

New Candidates

Eric Brunner (1) Jonas Rehberg (2) Frieder Lindel (3)

(1) After studying physics and mathematics in Konstanz and Freiburg, I am currently doing my doctorate at the Institute of Physics. In my research, I am concerned with interference phenomena and their decoherence in complex quantum systems. As a representative of the Ph.D. Convent, I hope to promote the network between doctoral researchers and to improve the connection to professors and group leaders that is essential for a fruitful teaching and research environment at the faculty.

(2) Hello everyone, I am a Ph.D. Student in the group of Prof. Stefan Dittmaier, working in the field of theoretical particle physics. Being a doctoral student myself, I think it is really important to have a good working environment. To achieve that, it is crucial that the opinions of the students are properly represented in any decisions regarding their everyday life at the university. Further, I think that a healthy and welcoming atmosphere among the Students from all over the institute benefits a lot towards having a good time while achieving the doctorate degree.

(3) My name is Frieder Lindel and I have started my PhD in the group of Andreas Buchleitner this summer. I chose to be a candidate for this years PhD representatives election because I would like to encourage and strengthen the exchange between PhD students from different groups of the institute. Also, as a PhD representative I would like to provide a contact point within the community of PhD students to which doctoral researchers can address their needs and which can be used in order to work out possibilities to improve the conditions for all PhD students accordingly.
